Meet SDAV Mobility

Better movement starts with better possibilities.

We bring innovative wearable mobility technology closer to people, families and organisations across the UK.

Who we are

A UK mobility partner with a clear focus.

SDAV Mobility is focused on introducing the X1 wearable walking-assistance system to the UK. We help people understand the technology, explore its features and find out about opportunities to experience it.

Our approach is straightforward: clear information, thoughtful conversations and a people-first introduction to emerging mobility technology.

What we do

Connecting people with wearable robotics.

Product guidance

We explain the X1, its features and the practical details people want to understand before considering a demonstration.

UK demonstrations

We help interested people enquire about available opportunities to see and experience the technology.

Partnerships

We welcome conversations with organisations interested in mobility innovation and the UK development of the product.

Our technology partner

Powered by robotics engineering.

We work with TransitX Global to introduce the X1 to the UK. The product brings wearable robotics into a form designed to assist walking in everyday settings.

SDAV Mobility’s role is to make the technology easier to discover, understand and enquire about locally.

The story behind the technology

From university robotics to wearable mobility.

TransitX Global’s story began in Germany, where its two founders studied robotics at Chemnitz University of Technology under the guidance of robotics expert Professor Dr Ulrike Thomas. Their early work explored how embodied robotics could respond more intuitively to people.

From college project to global innovation

Our story began at Chemnitz University of Technology in Germany, where our two founders studied robotics under the guidance of Professor Dr Ulrike Thomas. As Master’s students, they developed not only technical expertise but a shared vision for human-centred technology.

In 2016, they reached their first major breakthrough: overcoming the core technical challenges in embodied robotics and completing a fully functional humanoid robot. This achievement demonstrated their belief that robotics could become more intuitive, responsive and aligned with human needs.

In 2020, the founders made a pivotal decision to return to their home country and focus on bringing this technology directly into people’s lives through exoskeleton robotics. While much of the industry was pursuing autonomous humanoid robots, they asked a different question: what if technology could enhance people rather than replace them?

That insight became the mission: to develop technology that amplifies human capability, protects dignity and supports freedom of movement. The X1 reflects that direction, bringing wearable robotics into the context of everyday walking.
