What is the X1?
The X1 is a wearable, powered walking-assistance device. It is designed to work alongside the wearer’s own movement rather than walk independently for them.
How heavy is the device?
Published X1 Apex specifications list the device at approximately 2.4 kg excluding the battery. The complete worn weight depends on the battery and final supplied configuration. We will confirm the UK model’s exact weight before purchase.
Does it connect to a mobile app?
Yes. TransitX provides a companion app for compatible devices. The app listing describes device connection and adjustment functions. The exact controls and features available depend on the X1 model and app version.
Can the battery be removed or swapped?
The X1 is listed with a detachable rechargeable battery. A spare compatible battery can be used for a battery swap, subject to the manufacturer’s instructions. Please ask us to confirm spare-battery availability for the UK package.
How far can it travel on one charge?
Published X1 Apex product information quotes up to 18 km of assisted range. Actual range will vary with assistance settings, terrain, wearer and conditions.
How long does charging take?
Published product information quotes approximately 1.5–2 hours. Charging time can vary with the charger, battery condition and configuration supplied.
Is the X1 a medical device?
The X1 is presented as a consumer walking-assistance product, not a medical device. It should not be treated as a substitute for clinical advice, rehabilitation or an individually prescribed mobility aid.
Can I try it before making a decision?
